CASE STUDY – CEMETERY

It can be tough not knowing about the final resting place of a favourite person and particularly harrowing not to be able to visit for reasons of geography or travel restrictions. We have therefore devised a way of visiting “virtually” and this page explains how.

On the left is a cemetery in Central Victoria with a single example grave highlighted.

You can download the full resolution image below. (Caution that it’s a large 200Mb file). Use your mouse wheel or magnifier symbol to zoom in and out. Left-click and hold to move around.

3D CEMETERY FLY OVER

There is also a full 3D image of the cemetery which can be played on the right or downloaded and explored, just as if you were flying over the cemetery in person.

2D HEADSTONE

Now we can begin to visit information about a specific grave.  Here is a full resolution image of the headstone from our example.

Additional information about the specific grave is here.

Explore the gave in 3 dimensions and bring it, virtually, into your home.

Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Left-click and hold to move around and up and down.

You can even view with a 3D headset or Google Cardboard using the icon which will appear at bottom right when you hit play.

Click play on the right and then use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Left-click and hold to move around and up and down.

To bring the headstone into your home you need to download the Sketchfab app to your mobile device.

Once the app is loaded please watch our 30 second video on how to easily view the 3D image on your own tabletop.

We would be glad to quote for generating your own imagery and embedding it on your own website as if you had created it yourself.

It’s a wonderful way of bringing museum artefacts, buildings and landscapes to life.
